Learn how to obtain avatars in Anime Breaker, how to level them up for higher energy multipliers, and their role in unlocking world raids.
Avatars in Anime Breaker are a distinct reward class separate from companion units. Instead of being pulled from gacha machines or crafted, avatars drop as a chance reward from defeating enemies. Each enemy has a specific chance to drop its corresponding avatar when defeated in combat. Defeating a world's secret boss also provides a chance to obtain that boss's avatar, which is often accompanied by accessories and raid tickets.
How to Level Up Avatars
Equipped avatars gain experience and level up as you defeat enemies. Specifically, defeating the NPC that matches your currently equipped avatar is a primary method for increasing its level. As an avatar levels up, its energy multiplier improves; for example, an Epic avatar has been observed rising from a 1.5x multiplier at level 1 to nearly 1.6x at level 2. While the maximum level is currently estimated to be between 35 and 50, these values are subject to change as the game is updated.
Avatar Effects and Energy Multipliers
The primary function of an avatar is to provide an energy multiplier to your character. Verified examples of these multipliers include:
- Epic Avatar: 1.5x energy at level 1.
- World-One Secret Boss Avatar: 8x energy.
- Mythical Avatar: A rare mob drop with an estimated 0.1% drop rate.
There are conflicting reports regarding higher-tier multipliers, including unconfirmed screenshots suggesting a 30x secret avatar and a "broken" rarity reaching 150x energy. These values may vary based on the specific game build or recent balance updates. Beyond stat boosts, obtaining a secret boss's avatar is a requirement for accessing that world's specific raid, such as the Alien Raid in the first world.
System Classification
Avatars are managed in a dedicated inventory category separate from companions, weapons, accessories, and items. While both avatars and companions can sometimes be obtained through combat-related activities, they serve different roles in your progression and are tracked as independent systems within the game's UI.
Because avatar multipliers and drop requirements are frequently adjusted during updates, specific energy values may be buffed or nerfed. Players should verify current multipliers in their inventory, as a complete named roster of every avatar and its exact requirements is not yet finalized.
