Anime Breaker Companion Guide: Acquisition and Rarity Boosts
Learn how to obtain companions in Anime Breaker through world-specific card gachas, raids, and secret bosses, including reported rarity energy multipliers.
Companions in Anime Breaker, often referred to as pets or heroes in gameplay, provide essential energy boosts to aid progression. They are primarily obtained by spending gold on card-based gachas located in each world. Unlike traditional egg-hatching systems, these gachas present results as cards, and players can use a spin manager to auto-spin multiple gachas simultaneously.
How to Obtain Companions
Companions are gacha units obtained from card stations; they are distinct from avatars, which are chance drops from enemies. Players earn gold by defeating enemies and spend it at world-specific card stations. Each area features a unique set of companions:
- World 1 (Alien Card): The starting gacha for basic units.
- World 2 (Titan Card): Companions from this world are reported to be significantly stronger than those in the first world. See the cards guide for the separate early-build station-unlock and per-spin costs.
- Hidden Leaf (Leaf Card): A later-area companion gacha; its exact numerical world placement is not confirmed in the retained live-build evidence.
- Sin-themed area (Sin Cards): A later-area batch of pets; its exact numerical world placement is not confirmed in the retained live-build evidence.
Beyond standard gachas, companions can be acquired through other gameplay activities. Every map features a secret boss that has a chance to drop a secret-tier pet. The shop also offers a "Hidden Potential" companion as part of a starter bundle. Unresolved reward labels are excluded from this companion roster until their inventory category is confirmed.
Equipping Companions
Companions are managed through the inventory alongside avatars, accessories, and weapons. The interface includes "equip best" and "unequip all" options for team management. The pet equip limit varies by game build; verify your current limit in the inventory screen.
Rarity Tiers and Energy Boosts
Companions provide multipliers or flat additions to energy production. Because values observed in early gameplay are subject to change, players may encounter inconsistent stats for specific rarities.
| Rarity | Reported Energy Boosts |
|---|---|
| Rare | +0.5 energy (e.g., Master Inventor) or 1.1x entry boosts. |
| Epic | Approximately 1.2x to 1.5x energy boosts. |
| Legendary | Reported values range from 1.5x to 4x better than rare units. |
| Mythical | A mythic pet was observed with +6 energy; hatching odds were reported at approximately 0.1%. A separate 3x Mythical value is reported for the race gacha, not for companions. |
| Secret | Energy boosts vary significantly in reports, ranging from 6x to 30x. |
| Broken | A specialized rarity above Secret, reported to provide a 150x energy boost. |
Named Companions Observed in Gameplay
Several specific companions have been identified through gameplay recordings, though the full roster is expanded through updates:
- Master Inventor: A rare-tier companion from the first world providing +0.5 energy.
- Avakin Warrior, Hidden Potential, and Strongest Human: Starter units available from the initial Alien Card gacha. A premium version of Hidden Potential is also available in the starter pack.
- Sans Warden Pets: Available from the companion gacha in the Hidden Leaf/Ninja Village area.
Note that all acquisition costs and stat multipliers are based on early-access observations and are subject to adjustment by the developers.
