Anime Breaker Upgrades: Observed Costs and Scaling

A reference for Anime Breaker upgrade systems, including warrior, guild, and time trial boosts based on beta gameplay observations.

Anime Breaker features several distinct upgrade tracks that provide permanent or world-specific boosts to damage, energy, and resource efficiency. These systems utilize different currencies and materials earned through raids, trials, and standard gameplay.

Warrior Upgrades (World 1)

In the World 1 Dragon Ball area, a warrior upgrades station is located near the gachas. Gold unlocks the Warrior Upgrades station; after it is unlocked, Warrior Coins pay for its upgrade levels. Both are distinct from the separately priced race gacha and from rank-ups, which consume energy. The station offers upgrade tracks for attack range, energy, gold, and damage.

Observed scaling during beta testing included:

  • Attack Range: Approximately +25% per upgrade. (Three upgrades can nearly double range, potentially allowing players to hit multiple enemies at once).
  • Energy, Gold, and Damage: Each track provides incremental gains; exact per-level scaling is build-dependent.

After the station's gold unlock, Warrior Coins are the required material for its upgrade levels. Warrior Coins come from reported raid and enemy sources; raids also provide other reward categories such as titles and reported amulet rewards.

Time Trial (Hallway) Upgrades

The trial area, known as "the Hallway," opens every 30 minutes and contains a dedicated upgrades station. These upgrades boost energy, damage, gold, and attack speed. In beta builds, these upgrades cost 20 trial crystals each, though attack speed was noted as being more expensive to scale. The automation menu includes an auto-upgrade option for this system with a priority setting. Resources from all maps and trial crystals feed these boosts.

Guild Upgrades

Guilds allow members to pool gold to purchase permanent account boosts. Early levels are relatively inexpensive and have been observed to provide +50% bonuses to gold, energy, and damage, alongside extra gacha luck. Maxing all guild upgrades reportedly requires approximately 12,000 currency units, yielding 2x multipliers for energy, damage, and gold, as well as character luck and +10 member slots.

Rank-Up Requirements

The rank-up station, which can be managed via the automation menu, consumes energy to increase the player's rank. Observed energy costs during beta progression include:

  • First observed rank-up: 10,000 energy
  • Second observed rank-up: 75,000 energy
  • Third observed rank-up: 562,000 energy

The maximum rank reported in late-beta gameplay was 10.

World-Specific Progressions

Later worlds feature their own unique upgrade systems. In the Hidden Leaf (Ninja Village) area, Ninja progression provides energy boosts and utilizes dedicated materials. These costs increase significantly with each level.

Beta Balance and Scaling

All recorded upgrade values, costs, and scaling percentages are based on beta and early-access builds. In-game documentation indicates that these values are subject to adjustment, testing, and polishing. Specific mechanics, such as the late-stage scaling of the Hallway trials, may be rebalanced in the live game. Players should verify current costs at the respective stations following any balance patches.
